What will happen to this site if you don't meet your funding goals?

If I don't meet my funding goals then obviously I'll need to look for opportunities elsewhere. I'm not going to let the bills go unpaid.

Wherever those opportunities come from -- working full-time as a university lecturer, creating content for private companies or the government, etc. -- in most scenarios, my time will be redirected to my new job, and this will have the effect of slowing development of the Critical Thinker Academy to a crawl.

I don't want that to happen, I don't expect that to happen -- but ultimately it is the users and supporters of the site that will determine the fate of this project.

It's important to understand what is possible with crowd-funded support. If you want to see how the top performers on Patreon are doing, check out this link:

It gives you a hint of what is possible if you can just mobilize a fraction of your fans to pledge just a dollar a month.
